2010 Scholarship Competition

Contest Information 

WHO:     Current Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors majoring in mass communications or journalism at colleges and universities in Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C., or interns who have a permanent residence in Maryland, Delaware or Washington, D.C. AND are earning credits at CAPBA stations (within the past 12 months).

For example:  A Towson University Journalism major would be eligible, even though s/he’s from Ithaca, New York.  An Ithaca College Journalism major who is from Towson AND interned at WBAL-TV last summer would also eligible.

WHAT:   Opportunity to win a $2,500 scholarship; regional recognition among professional broadcast journalists

HOW TO ENTER:

             *What is the biggest ethical issue facing broadcast journalists today and
               how would you confront it?
            
*Broadcasting is a difficult field to enter?  What is your plan for getting that 
               first job in broadcast journalism?

DUE:     Must be postmarked by May 14, 2010
