Welcome to the official web site of the Cheseapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association. I hope you'll be a frequent visitor to the site!

The Association serves as an official liaison between AP Member Stations and the Mid-Atlantic Bureau and its staff in Delaware, Maryland and Washington, DC. The CAPBA Board, comprised of radio and television professionals from the region, meets quarterly to discuss issues of signficance to the AP and its members. The board is also responsible for the planning of our annual convention in Ocean City, and other educational and industry-related events.

The crabs are always a big hit at the annual CAPBA Convention in Ocean City.

Thank you for helping to make the 2008 CAPBA Convention a smashing success.  Our scholarship auction and Saturday night Bingo raised more than $4,000 for our scholarship fund.

Winners of the 2007 CAPBA Awards are now posted in the CAPBA Awards Winners section.  Also, you can download the official Associated Press photographs from the 2007 CAPBA Awards in our Official Awards Photos section.  Just right-click on the image and download away.

If you attended the 2008 Convention but failed to fill out a comment sheet, I ask that you take a minute and drop me an e-mail with your thoughts on what worked and what didn't work this year.  The CAPBA Board appreciates your input.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of the board members from your region, or contact me directly.

Thank you again for visiting the CAPBA web site!

Best wishes,

Tim Tunison
